Frequently Asked Questions
1. Does the software application automatically remember where I have previously left off in the course?
Yes. Upon opening the last module you were in, the course will ask if you want to go back to the page point where you previously quit. If you have completed the module the content page will show percentage complete. The “History” tab will show your course activity, when you last logged in to that module and the duration in time of viewing. If you have not yet viewed a module it will show-up in your content page as “Not Viewed”.
2. I forgot how some of the controls work on the player, what do I do?
Return to Module 1 and review the tutorial, “How to Navigate the Course”.
3. Do I receive certification for taking Fundamentals of Verification and Validation in Software Development?
There is no formal training requirement for V&V. There is a professional, ethical, business driver for software engineers to be compliant with “best practices” in their chosen field. If your course was purchased by your employer, we can, at your request, provide a compiled report upon completion to the company.
4. Page loading occasionally has delays. What do I do?
As we mention in our introductory e-mail invite, this is a rich-interactive application and certain firewalls, security systems and in some cases bandwidth demands on the internet can cause delays. This is most easily addressed via hitting the F5 key and reloading the page. You should also confirm you are using a broadband connection.
5. I believe one of my final assessments was not scored correctly. What should I do?
Contact customer service via e-mail at: [email protected]. We will make every attempt to get back with you either with clarifications or references.
6. I disagree with one of the answers given in the module as correct/incorrect. What should I do?
First, re-examine the feedback provided in your test review and if you still have issues, use the search capabilities in the chapter outline view to input keywords and review the actual course material again. If you still believe you are correct, you may send an e-mail and we will follow-up with a response.

Your company “may” or “may not” follow all aspects of the processes covered in the CTS’s fundamentals course or your company’s internal process may be slightly different, perhaps more or less extensive, than what we present in our course.
